Elizabeth Zimmermann- Baby Surprise jacket

Some 28 years ago I came across the Elizabeth Zimmermann pattern in a magazine and knitted a baby one for a friend who liked it so much that she wanted one for herself as well. That one took a lot longer to make.
I kept the pattern and put it in a safe place  but after so many house moves it was nowhere to be found .

Luckily the pattern has been republished with a row by row description of the surprise babyjacket , now also in child size.It has become a rage in the knitting community.
