Playing with Teykol

I've been playing with Teykol again after I saw an example of a card by Sija Teijgeler . For this you mask half the card, stamps an image on the right. Outline bits of this with Teykol which is a resist glue. Then colour that half with dye ink,where the Teykol has been placed stays white.

Stamp an image for the centre part and mark little bits with Teykol then colour.

Stamp some images on the left, add a message/sentiment and colour the outside rims then attach your main image . I have used various stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms

Ik heb weer zitten spelen met Teykol nadat ik een voorbeeld zag van Sija Teijgeler . Hierbij mask je de helft van je kaart, stempelt iets rechts en bewerk dit met Teykol. Daarna spons je het met dye inkt, doordat de teykol resist lijm is blijven de gepenseelde stukjes wit.

stempel ook je hoofdimage , bewerk met teykol en kleur het met dye inkt.

Plaats links enkele stempelafdrukken, eventueel een boodschap en bewerk de randen weer met dye inkt plak daarna je hoofd image op.

These cards show 2 different things you can do with Teykol.

In the first one the stamp was stamped with India Black Ink and then parts of it were outlined in Teykol. When I put the Arondirack ink over it the Teykol works as a resist so it stays white.

Deze kaarten laten 2 verschillende manieren zien hoe je Teykol kunt gebruiken. Bij de eerste heb ik de swirl gestempeld met India Black Ink, toen gedeeltes omlijnd met Teykol. Als je dan met Arondirack ( of een andere dyebased inkt er over heen sponst werkt de Teykol als een resistant en blijft wit.

Bij de tweede kaart heb ik eerst de klokken gestempeld met Teykol, toen met Distress Inkt er over gesponst en daarna Time gestempeld . Hierbij moet je er wel aan denken dat ook bij erna stempelen de inkt niet pakt op de Teykol ( vandaar dat "is priceless" op een apart stukje kaart is gestempeld.)

For the second card I stamped the clock images first then sponged with Distress ink and stamped time on it afterwards.You have to remember that when you try and stamp on it afterwards the Teykol will still resist the ink ( which is why priceless is stamped on a seperate piece of cardstock)

May Garden

I only seem to be making cards for orders and for challenges nowadays. But thats a good way to try out new goodies.

The challenge at the ArtisticStamper is Garden

You have probably guessed that the new theme for May is Garden and you can use just about any flowery or insect stamp, even use stamps of gnomes and birds too if you like!! The only rule is that you use stamping on your creation.

I have used Teykol for the first time and absolutely love it. It's such a nice effect . Here I stamped the flower background with it, then coloured the card with Distress Ink, followed by Glimmer Mist .
