house mini album

After seeing all those lovely houses on Dans blog I simply

had to have a go and loved making it.

I heated up a Penscore block and pressed it onto an embossing folder, voila a swirl stamp

I could not make up my mind what to do on the left side pages so simply decorated them with paper and embellishments. The grid stuff here is plasterers tape .

I coloured the top piece with Distress Ink and left the other bit white.

I wanted only 3 bits of BIA coil so thought to be clever

and made the holes with the Cropodile but when I had put the coil through them the book didn't want to open properly. I then tried a bigger coil it still wouldn't work.

I had even made a template to see how far the holes had to be from the edge of the card and how much distance there should be between them but no... it simply did not work.

I then tried it with book rings but no it didn't look right.

After a lot of faffing about it ended up with this fibre and a leather thong and some lace.

I stamped a white flower with my diamond stamp , I really like the result. May be buy only white flowers from now on??

Toen ik eenmaal de huisjes had gezien op

Dans blog moest ik het natuurlijk ook uitproberen

en het was leuk om te doen .

Ik wist niet goed wat ik aan de linkerkant zou doen , foto's

of niet? uiteindelijk maar papier gebruikt en wat embellishments.

Op de voorkant heb ik een Penscore blok verhit en op een embossingfolder gedrukt en je hebt zo een swirl stempel

Op de tweede foto heb ik plasterers tape gebruikt i.p.v. magic mesh dat is een stuk goedkoper en je kunt het zelf kleuren met Distress inkt.

Een witte bloem heb ik bestempeld met mijn diamant stempel en het effect vind ik leuk , mm misschien voortaan vnl. witte bloemen kopen?

En toen het probleem hoe de bladzijden te bevestigen ,ik wilde maar 3 coils erin. Ik dacht slim te zijn en had een template gemaakt met de bia voor de afstanden tussen de gaatjes en de afstanden vanaf de rand van het boekje . Toen met de Cropodile gaatjes gemaakt maar helaas met de coils erin wilde het niet goed openen. grotere coil gebruikt nog niet. Toen gaan proberen met boekringen maar dat stond van geen meter . na veel ge doe uiteindelijk maar de fibres- leren veter en een stukje kant erdoor. Waarom simpel doen als het moeilijk kan?

Bind it all bothers

As well as the first lot of books went this one was a bother from start to end.

It started with the turning knob falling off the machine and could I find the little screw???

Of course it was on a smaller setting than I needed . I tried to turn it with a pair of pliers but it wouldn't budge.

So I thought I'd try it in the setting it was in and take it from there.. but put the covers in the wrong way round...start again .Needless to say I wasted another bit of wire. Then I suddenly noticed blood over the last few pages.. and yes I had scratched myself with the wire. grr..

I then started to hunt seriously for the teeny bitty screw and found it...hurray

Third time lucky. I used the Dovecraft Fantasy block for this addressbook ..somehow it had got into my Scrapfever shopping basket when I was in Holland. Don't know why as it's not my style at all; may be I was tempted by the green paper on the front?. ==============

Bind it all met hindernissen. Zo makkelijk als de eerste boekjes gingen des te meer hindernissen gaf dit adresboekje. Het begon ermee dat de draaiknop er opeens af viel en kon ik het minuscule schroefje vinden?? nee dus.

Geprobeerd met een tangetje te draaien..geen succes en natuurlijk had ik een grotere gauge nodig dan waar hij op stond.

Toen maar besloten het toch te proberen...foutje de kaften zaten verkeerd..nogmaals weer een stuk spiraal verknoeid en toen zag ik overal bloed op de laatste blz. ja hoor ik had mijn vingers opengehaald aan de coil.grrr...

Toen maar heel serieus gaan zoeken naar het schroefje en hoera.. geluk en derde keer scheepsrecht het boekje is af.

Ik heb het papier Fantasy van Dovecraft gebruikt dat op de een of andere manier in mijn Scrapfever

online mandje was beland toen ik in Holland was . Hoe weet ik niet want het is niks voor mij dat feeengedoe.

Misschien was ik verleidt door het groene papier op de voorkant?

I've been playing with my Bind-It all and am beginning to like it.

The papers were from a set from Tracy at - Creative Treasures

which I bought ages ago with a specific aim but cannot remember

what the aim was.( the story of my life nowadays)

I think they were perfect for this . Are you noticing I'm more tolerant towards the pink this week? since the pink paper was out for that scrap album I thought I might as well be brave and carry on. It may grow on me yet.... big grin .

The hole in the birthday book is there on purpose in case you wonder it's for hanging on a nail in the wall.

Ik heb de Bind it all weer eens tevoorschijn gehaald en begin 'm te waarderen. Het papier was van een set dat ik tijden geleden bij Tracy van Creative Treasures had gekocht met een specifiek doel.Vraag me niet welk doel want dat ben ik alweer kwijt. ( zoals zoveel dingen tegenwoordig)

Ik vind ze prachtig voor deze set.Is het jullie al opgevallen dat ik de laatste week veel roze heb gebruikt?? omdat de roze embellishments er toch al lagen van het scrapboekalbum ben ik gelijk maar dapper door gegaan .Wie weet begin ik het ooit te waarderen??

Het gat in de verjaardagskalender zit er expres, het is om 'm aaneen spijkertje op te kunnen hangen.
