Quote mini book

I found some great quotes online at Cottagearts.net and love this shape

so I combined the two and created something in my favourite colours.

I have used various ribbon and lace from Scrapfever, beads, buttons, some plasterers tape that I coloured with stamp ink by lack of Magic Mesh. My Quickutz alphabet.

Ik vond wat mooie quotes online en vind deze vorm heel leuk

dus daarom de twee gecombineerd en

er iets mee gecre-eerd in mijn favoriete kleurtjes.

Ik heb allerlei lintjes en kantjes van Scrapfever gebruikt.

Stitchel stempels voor de vlinder en bloemetjes., kraaltjes, stukjes plastering tape i.p.v. magic mesh en dat gekleurd met stempelinkt.

Bind it all bothers

As well as the first lot of books went this one was a bother from start to end.

It started with the turning knob falling off the machine and could I find the little screw???

Of course it was on a smaller setting than I needed . I tried to turn it with a pair of pliers but it wouldn't budge.

So I thought I'd try it in the setting it was in and take it from there.. but put the covers in the wrong way round...start again .Needless to say I wasted another bit of wire. Then I suddenly noticed blood over the last few pages.. and yes I had scratched myself with the wire. grr..

I then started to hunt seriously for the teeny bitty screw and found it...hurray

Third time lucky. I used the Dovecraft Fantasy block for this addressbook ..somehow it had got into my Scrapfever shopping basket when I was in Holland. Don't know why as it's not my style at all; may be I was tempted by the green paper on the front?. ==============

Bind it all met hindernissen. Zo makkelijk als de eerste boekjes gingen des te meer hindernissen gaf dit adresboekje. Het begon ermee dat de draaiknop er opeens af viel en kon ik het minuscule schroefje vinden?? nee dus.

Geprobeerd met een tangetje te draaien..geen succes en natuurlijk had ik een grotere gauge nodig dan waar hij op stond.

Toen maar besloten het toch te proberen...foutje de kaften zaten verkeerd..nogmaals weer een stuk spiraal verknoeid en toen zag ik overal bloed op de laatste blz. ja hoor ik had mijn vingers opengehaald aan de coil.grrr...

Toen maar heel serieus gaan zoeken naar het schroefje en hoera.. geluk en derde keer scheepsrecht het boekje is af.

Ik heb het papier Fantasy van Dovecraft gebruikt dat op de een of andere manier in mijn Scrapfever

online mandje was beland toen ik in Holland was . Hoe weet ik niet want het is niks voor mij dat feeengedoe.

Misschien was ik verleidt door het groene papier op de voorkant?

Butterfly a la Carla

Carla ( CEE ) on Scrapfever gave me the instructions to make this butterfly .

The biggest struggle was the body , the wings were easy .

I think I'll stick some thin beading wire through the body and antennes .

Carla ( CEE) van Scrapfever deelde de instructies voor het maken van deze vlinder met ons. De vleugels gaven geen probleem maar de body was een beetje tegen de draad in. Ik zal eens proberen een heel dunne ijzerdraad ( van sieraden maken ) er doorheen te doen

Kissable Tree

oh my, I seem to have fallen in love with the Kissable Tree from CHF only I have not managed to make it " kiss " yet. Will try again later today.

This one is for a card order for someone who will be 60 , loves music and his hobby is cycling.

wow volgens mij ben ik verliefd op mijn nieuwe stempel Kissable Tree- van CHF alleen is het me nog niet gelukt om hem te laten "kussen" - straks maar weer eens proberen.

Deze kaart is voor een bestelling voor iemand die 60 wordt, gek op muziek is en fietsen als hobby heeft.

I'm back home

after a couple of weeks in Holland , been to a craft fair there and met up with some lovely people from Scrapfever , I happened to buy some stuff there and also found lots of stamps waiting at home for my arrival. I wonder who ordered those in my absence ( oops)

talk about addiction....

Hilde's Challenge

Hilde on Scrapfever has challenged the members to reuse/recycle some packaging , either from craft items or general items.

Carole from Craftsbycarolyn kindly sent me an empty packet of Panadol for altering after an idea by Carol M . this is what I ended up with , it did go wrong with the little pockets inside I'll try and change that tomorrow

I put Gesso on top then sprayed with 2 colours Glimmer Mist; the music paper was first scrunched,then distress ink over the folds, misted with water and dried.The flower and coin are from a Cutie Kit from Scrapfever

I put gold Krylon round the edges.

Ik heb eerst een laag gesso er over gedaan daarna gesprayed met 2 kleuren Glimmer Mist. het muziekpapier is verschrompelt, beveegd met Distress inkt, gemist met water en toen gedroogd. De bloem en munt komen uit een Cutie Kit van Scrapfever

het horloge, de klok en het woordje Time is uit een set Time to Stamp van Cornish Heritage Farms

Life is good

I finally took the plunge and did something with my mini puzzle album that I got in the April kit from Scrapfever. This is where I buy my Dutch craft goodies.

It's my first kit it's a surprise what you get as it's kept very secret.

I first put Gesso on, just on one side and whilst it was wet I sprayed 3 colours of Glimmer Mist on, then dried it with the help of my heatgun as I don't have patience as my middle name.

As the pages are from perspex the colours are visable on the other side and are very shiny.

I love the effect and then the decorating could start.These are my favourite colours

Eindelijk de stap maar gewaagd en heb het mini puzzel album

uit de April Craft kit van Scrapfever gemaakt.

dit is mijn eerste kit en het is altijd een verrassing want de inhoud wordt streng geheim gehouden.

Ik heb het eerst aan 1 kant bewerkt met Gesso en terwijl dit nog nat was 3 kleuren Glimmer Mist er op gesprayed. Daarna gedroogd met behulp van de heatgun, geduld is niet mijn sterke kant.

Omdat de bladzijden van perspex zijn zie je de kleuren ook aan de achtterkant, heel mooi glanzend.

Daarna kon het versieren beginnen.Dit zijn mijn favoriete kleurtjes.

As its coming up to Mothers day in the UK here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls . So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it . And that's it for rules really.Apart from this one.And it is sneaky. No Tildas, Sugar Nellies or Bellas please. I love them all. But there are loads of great challenges out there using them so for this challenge you can give them a well earned rest!

I made the background by ironing!! waxed paper onto cardstock and then coloured it with Distress Ink. The face stamp has been in my possesion for years and years I don't know it's make.

The diamond stamp is from Crafty Individuals and the lacy ribbon from Scrapfever. The fern is from a botanical clear stamp set.

Is het echt al weer zolang geleden dat ik iets gepost heb? Te druk geweest met een order voor kaarten voor een tearoom en in de ban van het leren van Digitaal Scrappen

De dare van DCM is maak een kaart als onderwerp maar... je mag geen Magnolias...Sugar Nellies of Bellas gebruiken.

Ik heb de achtergrond gemaakt met waxpapier ( strijken!!) en gekleurd met Distress Inkt. De varens zijn van een clear stamp set( ik weet niet het merk meer) het hoofd heb ik al jaren ( ook geen idee welk merk) de diamantstempel is van Crafty Individuals en het kant komt van Scrapfever
