Red and White

The challenge from the DCM is as follows

This week's and next week's dare are team dares - and we've decided to go nice and easy on you guys, as the past few dares have been pretty tricky ! This week, we decided on a colour combination for a change. We want you to design a card using only RED AND WHITE on your cards- it doesn't have to be a Valentine themed card - it can be any theme- as long as use incorporate RED and WHITE on it.

This is my take on it. I stamped the background with the 'Paint Spots Backgrounder' stamp from CHF and dug up my old trusted basque stamp from Stampendous and mounted it on a Spellbinders nestability circle.
The clear dots have been in my stockpile for years and apparently are back in fashion under a different name. The corners are from an Ellison die , I think it's called photo corners.

Ghost technique

I've been trying out the stamping ghost technique . The first effort went in the bin as I didn't like it. That was done with only pigment ink.
This one is done by using Colorbox White Frost and 2 different Distressinks. I like the effect it gives. I coloured a white prima flower with Glimmermist to make it blue. The stamp is from Art Journey one of the Bline Designs called Summer Bloom

new stamps

I've been playing with some of my new stamps from
Cornish Heritage Farms. They are so well made . The text one is the French Script one and it's enormous it measures 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" , the flower one is the simple sunflower one .
All unmounted stamps are backed with Smart Cushion and are already trimmed, what more could you wish for? Except a bigger bank balance to buy more.
