Quick card in a quarter

The Tanda Teaser is to make a quick card in a quarter.Well it would have been in a quarter if I had not changedmy mind( and again and again). But I'm sure if I did it again it would be ready in 10 min. or so.

The Nestabilities help to get a focal point.

The background stamp is another yummy one from Cornishheritagefarms and the little tree ,??? I just cannot remember where that came from - I bought a bit too many craftgoodies lately. I can feel another shoppingban approaching soon.We do need to insulate the house, mmm would rubberstamps work?

voor de Tandateaser deze week moest je een snelle kaart maken binnen een kwartier, dat zou me helukt zijn als ik niet steeds van plan veranderede en nog een keer en nog een keer. De volgende zou vast in 10 minuten klaar zijn.

De nestabilities helpen een focal punt te krijgen . De achtergrondstempel is van Cornishheritagefarms en het boompje?? laat ik dat nou niet meer weten , ik heb ietsje veel craftspullen veroverd de laatste maand.

Ik voel alweer een shoppingban aankomen, het huis moet nodig geisoleerd worden, mm zou dat gaan met rubberstempels?

Snowflake Kisses

the theme on Wednesday Stamper is Snowflake Kisses.On Cute Card Thursday it's snowflakes so two in one go. The blue background is made with Gesso and Glimmermists on a shiny black card , shame you cannot see all the glimmer.

The purple blue background behind the Let it Snowstamp ( by ???) is done by crumpling up colourful magazine paper, then covered with a thin layer of Gesso and Glimmermist , then Versamark and clear embossing powder and once that is dry it is stamped and cut with a Nestability.

The lined background is from the ledger background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms

The sides of the clear card have again Gesso on them ( can you tell I love the stuff?)and there are several snowflakes stamped at random.

The challenge op Wednesday Stamper is Sneeuwvlok kusjes en op Cute Card Thursday is het sneeuwvlokjes dus twee in 1 dit keer .Ik heb een achtergrond gemaakt van Gesso en Glimmermists op een glimmende zwarte kaart , jammer dat je niet alle glimmer kunt zien.

de paars/ blauwe achtergrond is gedaan met verlreukeld papier uit een tijdschrift daar een dun laagje Gesso op en Glimmermist dan Versamark en clear embossingpoeder en toen dat droog was bestempeld. Uitgestans met een Nestability.

De achtergrond met lijntjes is van de Ledger Background van CornishHeritageFarms

De randen zijn met Gesso ingesmeerd ( raad je al dat ik gek op dat spul ben?) en er zijn verschillende sneeuwvlokken op gestempeld.

Black Magic

A challenge by Joanne at Craftsbycarolyn was to make a card using black cardstock .As I bought a whole block of Black Magic core card whilst in Holland this was an easy challenge for me .It combines so well with the Cuttlebug embossing folders and the Nestabilities.

The flowerstamp is from a Stitchel set designed by Hels from the Artistic Stamper and I love them.

Een uitdaging op Craftsbycarolyn luidde maak een zwarte kaart . Daar ik bij mijn laatste bezoek aan Holland net een block Black Magic Color Core had ingeslagen leverde dit geen probleem op.. Het is zo mooi te combineren met de Cuttlebug embossing folders en de Nestabilities.

De bloemenstempel is van een set Stitchels ontworpen door Hels van de Artistic Stamper . Ik ben weg van alle sets maar heb helaas een shopping ban .

theTanda Teaser challenge this week is from Sheila .......to use initials on your cards.There are many ways you can make your initial pieces.......chipboard, die cuts, print on the computer, stickers etc..........and don't forget that you do not have to be a stamper to enter the challenges........whatever your style or medium we welcome anyone who would like to join in

he ho, watch this ..no stamps I have used an alfabet mask, Glimmer Mist, an oval nestability, a charm ,brads odd bits of paper, button, raffia and some cardboard packaging

Tanda Teaser vroeg dit keer om een kaart met initialen. En zowaar ik heb geen stempels gebruikt. Hi is gedaan met een alfabet mask, Glimmer Mist. Verder heb ik een ovale nestability gebruikt,brads, een charm , een knoop met raffia en wat verschillend papier en een stukje verpakking karton .

My first canvas

This did not go without mishappenings...I was too impatient to wait for the Gesso to dry and stuck the paper on top of it; then the photograph the result was that the paper bubbled, the photo got smeared with blue gesso and when I tried to rub it off the photo got damaged.

Back to the drawingboard and bless digital photo's and home printing.

I put on several layers of Gesso the last one mixed with blue acrylic paint, then sprayed some Glimmermist on it. The circles were cut with a Nestability, the holes done with the Cropodile, the swirl is part of Sizzix Bigz flower and vine.

The silver rhinestones were put on with my new toy the Hotfix.

Trust me to have tidied up and I cannot find the little box with different sized nibs.

oh and the kiddo is my great nephew.

mijn eerste canvas wat ook niet zonder problemen ging. Ik was te ongeduldig om te wachten tot de Gesso goed droog was , waardoor het papier ging bubbelen en de foto erboven besmeerd werd met blauwe Gesso, toen ik probeerde dat eraf te halen was de foto bedorven en het papier ook.

Op nieuw begonnen met wat meer geduld, dank zij digitale foto's en een fotoprinter. Dat loont.!

Er zitten verschillende laagjes Gesso op, de laatste heb ik gemengd met blauwe acrylverf. Daarna wat blauwe Glimmermist erover gedaan.

Decirkels zijn met de nestability gestanst,en de gaatjes zijn er met de Cropodile ingemaakt.De swirl is een onderdeel van de Sizzix Bigz Flower and Vine. de zilveren steentjes zijn er met de hotfix op bevestigd. Helaas heb ik mijn craftvan opgeruimd en nu kan ik het doosje met de verschillende maten opzetstukjes niet meer vinden.

Red and White

The challenge from the DCM is as follows


This week's and next week's dare are team dares - and we've decided to go nice and easy on you guys, as the past few dares have been pretty tricky ! This week, we decided on a colour combination for a change. We want you to design a card using only RED AND WHITE on your cards- it doesn't have to be a Valentine themed card - it can be any theme- as long as use incorporate RED and WHITE on it.

This is my take on it. I stamped the background with the 'Paint Spots Backgrounder' stamp from CHF and dug up my old trusted basque stamp from Stampendous and mounted it on a Spellbinders nestability circle.
The clear dots have been in my stockpile for years and apparently are back in fashion under a different name. The corners are from an Ellison die , I think it's called photo corners.

De kaartuitdaging bij DCM is maak een kaart met alleen maar rood en wit.
De achtergrondstempel is van CHF , de stempel met het corset werd ook weer eens opgeduikeld , die is van Stampendous. De cirkel is gedaan met een nestability van Spellbinders en de hoekjes met een stans van Ellison, volgens mij heet die foto corners. De doorzichtige frutseltjes heb ik al jaren in mijn knutselvoorraad maar zijn blijkbaar weer in de mode onder een andere naam.

I'm not a pink girl but...

somehow I ended up making a pink card . The challenge on CBC ( craftsbycarolyn) was use a big button. I could only find one in my stash but had the Sizzlits buttons as a back-up. I just love these Sugar Nellie stamps.



Ik ben helemaal geen rose mens maar op de een of andere manier kwam dit tevoorschijn . De uitdaging bij Craftsbycarolyn was gebruik een grote knoop op je kaart...ik kon er maar 1 vinden maar had de Sizzlits knopen stansjes ook nog . Ik ben weg van de Sugar Nellies .
