Foiled

the dare on the DCM comes from Jo this time

My dare this week is 'Foiled!' -I would like you to utilise some plain old aluminium (aluminum for our friends across the pond!) foil from your kitchen :). You can scrunch it, die cut it, emboss it, ink it, coil it, cover chipboard - or anything else that you choose!

I used a slidemount, covered that in foil then coloured it with alcohol ink and even parted with a bit of my favourite lacy ribbon.
the French wording stamp is from CHF and the boy is part of the Smile sheet from Art Journey.
As one of the challenges on CBC was rip it up I have killed 2 birds with one stone

It's a beautiful card. Clever to think of covering a slide mount with the foil.

How much do they charge postage on the Cornish Heritage Farm stamps? They look rather nice and they aren't too expensive either without the P&p.

Thanks for the info on Cornish Heritage Stamps Ellen. Maybe I will just stick with UK stuff.

I see you live on the West Coast of Scotland. We had an amazing holiday a few years ago on Eilean Shona. It's one we will never forget - so peaceful - no roads, no shops, no TV, poor radio reception and off on the daily boat to get supplies. Walking every day and not meeting anyone at all. Wild Pine Martins feeding from the window ledge and deer walking past the window. Absolute bliss!

Lovely card Ellen - I really like the idea of foiling the shidemount - it would make such a cute little picture frame

yes I feel very privileged to be living here

Always good when you can double up on challenges, eh?! This looks great Ellen, the lace trim tones the foil down nicely - love it!
