Special Gift

One of the designer challenges at the Digitalcraftcottage is by Digidonna make a layout of a special gift you received. I decided to make one about a gift I gave to myself .

The kit is by Muriel of DCC =By the Sea , the photo of the bridge is made at the Bridge over the Atlantic near Oban. One of the sailingboats is Tom .

The photo is blended into the background following a tutorial by Traci at the DCC , wonderful effect that is.

Een van de uitdagingen in de Digitalcraftcottage is maak een layout over een speciaal cadeau. Ik dacht gelijk aan dit cadeau dat ik aan mijzelf heb gegeven. de kit is van Murielvan de DCC=By the Sea, de foto is van de brug over de Atlantische oceaan bij Oban ( Schotland). een van de zeilboten is Tom. De brugfoto is in de achtergrond geblended ( Ned woord??) Geleerd met een tutorial van Traci van DCC prachtig effect geeft dat.

Non wedding photo

Lisa at the Digitalcraftcottage set us a challenge to make a layout using a wedding photo ( or simular) with her new kit Forever My Love ( for sale in the Shoppe)

As my journaling explains my parents never had a proper wedding as they were married by proxy. so this photo will have to do.

Mijn ouders zijn met de handschoen getrouwd en hebben dan ook nooit een echte bruiloft gehad. Deze foto van hun werd genomen op de trouwerij van een tante ( mijn ouders hadden toen inmiddels 4 kinderen) een prachtkit om mee te werken.

christmas in June

the DCM challenge is from Jo Jo here this week with a seasonal dare - just not this season :) I would love this week for you all to make a Christmas card... (yes I know it is only June tee hee) With a nice Christmassy scene just to get us all in the festive spirit and to pave the way for all the cards that we have yet to make....

I had christmas on the brain anyway as we are doing christmas in June ( and July ) on the Digital Craft Cottage forum as well.I'll post some of my tags and recipe on a different posting.

de challenge bij DCm is een kerstkaart te maken . Ik was zowiezo al in kerstsfeer want ook op digitalcraftcottage zijn we bezig met kerstcreaties. Ik zal wat van mijn tags en kaarten in een andere post zetten.

Digital Granny

Roxi on Digital Craft Cottage set us a challenge to make a layout about a mother figure using her kit Generations . I made one about my maternal grandmother after whom I was named. well never got teh second name but thats a different story. II've only met her a few times when she came across to Holland and the U.K. from Australia.

This kit is lovely , it was a pleasure to play with it.

Ik heb hem gemaakt over mijn grootmoeder van moeders kant naar wie ik vernoemd ben. Nou ja de tweede naam heb ik nooit gekregen hoewel dat de bedoeling was maar dat is een ander verhaal.Ik heb haar maar een paar keer gezien heb als ze overkwam naar Nederland en Engeland vanuit Australie.

National ScrapbookDay

Yesterday was a day full of fun at DCC we did lots of scrapping, followed tutorials and were snowed under by free kits and elements. Thanks girls I feel well spoiled.

One of the layouts I made was this one . The kit is from Chris at DCC called- Cool Copper a beauty ,I love the rich colours.

Divine Chocolate

I got a super kit made by Chris from the DCC named Divine Chocolate and thats exactly what it is. This card was made for one of the challenges over at Craftsbycarolyn.

Deze kaart is gemaakt met een kit , Divine Chocolate genoemd , van Chris van de DCC . ziet het er niet uit om op te vreten?

Up early

A record for me!! I was up at 6 o'clock as there was a lamb bleating like it was in dire straits and the mum was answering , the little %$&* had got through a fence and didn't know how to get back and had demolished most of the new shoots on the willow plants. He/she's not my favourite today.

For the midweek extra at DCM there is a template we can use


I've taken out the Hotfix to use on this ( duhhh it helps if you switch the thing itself on as well. , I was wondering why it wasn't melting the glue as it was on at the wall.
I have caught up with my orders, one more layout for Digital Craft Cottage about Why I Scrap
and then I can start on making elements/paper for theMmay kit. We all contribute 5 elements/papers for a kit, based on colours we have chosen beforehand. Great fun to do

Vroeg op vandaag vanwege een lam dat liep te bleren om z'n moeder, hij/zij was door het hek heen geklommen en wist niet hoe hij terug moest. Ondertussen wel de kans gezien om alle nieuwe scheuten van wilgetakken op te vreten. Hij is niet mijn favouriet vandaag.

Voor de DCM extra challenge is het een schets deze week , ik heb mijn Hotfix erbij gepakten snapte niet waarom de lijm niet wilde smelten want de stekker zat er toch echt in..even vergeten dat er ook een aan/uitknopje op de hotfix zelf zat.oops.

Ik ben helemaal bij met orders nog 1 layout voor Digital Craft Cottage over Why I Scrap en dan kan ik beginnen te ontwerpen voor de Mei kit. We leveren allemaal 5 elementen en/of papieren aan voor deze kit volgens een vooraf gekozen schema. Heel leuk om te doen.

Recepten ruil- digital

At the Digital Craft Cottage ( where I'm learning to Digiscrap) we have a monthly recipe exchange . At the end of the month you get all the recipies that have been entered and there are a lot as we are all very enthousiastic.

They are the right size to print ( 4x6) and put in a lunchbox.

By Digital Craft Cottage ( waar ik leer te digiscrappen) hebben we elke maand een recepten ruil . Aan het eind van de maand krijg je alle recepten die gemaakt zijn en dat zijn er een hoop want we zijn allemaal enthousiaste deelnemers. Ze zijn een leuk formaat om te printen en in een lunchdoos te bewaren. Een gepimpte natuurlijk.

Digital Scrapping

To show that I have not been totally idle these last few weeks here is one of my digital scrappages. Remember I've only started learning this at the end of January and there is so much more to figure out.

The girls at Digital Craft Cottage are wonderful . The kit I used is called Spring Linen ( a kit made up by the 3 owners of DigitalCraft Cottage)

my first collage try

over at Digitalcraftcottage (the one I'm yapping on and on about ) there is a challenge to make a collage using a beautiful kit called Bronze Age designed by Laura . Just looking at the kit makes me drool ; such warm colours.
.It was difficult to choose which elements to use for it as there are so many.

I used a photograph of my father in law and his brother as kids, I just love those old photographs.

bij Digitalcraftcottage( waar ik het de hele tijd over heb) is een uitdaging om een collage te maken met een kit Bronze Age ontworpen door Laura. Alleen al het zien van de kit doet me kwijlen; zulke warme kleuren.Het was moeilijk te kiezen wat te gebruiken omdat er zoveel onderdelen in zitten. Ik heb een foto van mijn schoonvader en broertje als kind gebruikt, ik ben helemaal weg van oude foto's .

my first background

I've been trying to get to grips with the basics of digital scrapping and found the most amazing place to help me with that. It's called Digitalcraftcottage the forum is built up like a cottage with a parlor-where you get welcomed-a study where you can follow step by step tutorials- a kitchen where the challenges get cooked up-a sewingroom where you can find supplies ; templates and patterns- a playroom- a secret room and various others.

The occupiers make you feel welcome -straightaway you become one of the family ; they are very helpful and there is is always someone there to help out if you get stuck ( which in my case will be numerous times)

I have learned several thing already. This is the first background I made just following the step by step tutorial I found.

There is also a wonderful shop where you can buy the most georgeous kits.

Ik ben aan het proberen om de basishandelingen van digitaal scrappen onder de knie te krijgen en heb daar een prima forum voor gevonden ( wel in het Engels) het heet Digitalcraftcottage . Het huisje is opgebouwd uit verschillende kamers. De woonkamer waar je welkom wordt geheten- de keuken waar van alles in gebrouwd wordt- de study waar je gratis stap voor stap tutorials kunt volgen - de zandbak- de geheime kamer- de naaikamer waar je patronen en templates kunt vinden en ga zo maar door.

het is een mijn aan informatie, je wordt er gelijk opgenomen in de familie en er staat altijd iemand klaar om je te helpen als je vast komt te zitten ( in mijn geval dus vaak) Ik heb er al heel wat geleerd in die paar dagen. Dit is mijn eerste achtergrond, gedaan door de stap voor stap tutorial te volgen . Er is ook een boetiek waar je de prachtigste digitale kits kunt kopen, die je natuurlijk ook af kunt drukken voor " echt" gebruik.
