The recycled bit is the flower which I cut out of a bookpage with a Bosskut die.The background is done with black magic Colorcore ,embossed with the cuttlebug folder and sanded. Little ash branches courtesy of my McGill punch

De bloem is het gerecyclede uit een boek gestanst. De achtergrond is black magic core card door de cuttlebug gehaald en opgeschuurd. De sprietjes zijn gemaakt met de ash McGill punch

both hot and cold.

for this card I used a cuttlebug embossing folder

on core card which was sanded afterwards.

Vintage man

on thankgoditsfriday the challenge is set by Nellie and it's one of my favourite themes Vintage

I decided to use an image from my craftyindividuals book .

The background is done with several colours Distress ink, has gone through the letter embossing folder,stamped with the Vintage ledger from Cornishheritagefarms (well I had to didn't I?)

a bit of cardboard, plasterers mesh and some book paper coloured with Distress ink , a lacy doily made brown with coffee Glimmer mist

and some embellishments to finish it of.

Op thankgoditsfriday de challenge is een vintage kaart, die maak ik graag. Voor de verandering heb ik ervoor gekozen om een image uit mijn Craftyindividualsboekje te gebruiken i.p.v. stempels. De kaart is gekleurd met distress inkt, door de cuttlebug letter folder gegaan, bestempeld met de vintage ledger van Cornishheritagefarms ( die moest ik wel gebruiken met dit thema)

een stukje van een doos, een onderleggertje bruin gespoten met coffee glimmermist, een blaadje uit een boek met distress inkt bewerkt en nog wat embellishments toegevoegd.

Paint the Town

I have not played at DCM for ages , the challenge this week

is by Rhi this time and is....paint the town any colour you like as long as you use paint.

I have used acrylic paint , over which I painted glaze and then combed it with a marbling comb . On top of that is a piece of acrylic sheet which went through my Big Shot in the swirl Cuttlebug folder . The ribbon is stamped with acrylic paint as well. I just received this house stamp from Paperartsy, isn't it cute ?

oops, I made a mistake there I did not buy this one, I got some of its stamped images it from a friend of a Dutch forum . ( whishful thinking?) I did buy some other houses though.

Mx- from 0-60

Hurray I have finished the album for a commission

and mostly in pink so thats quite an achievement for me.

It's a birthday present /card for a 60 year old .

Hence the title from 0-60

I think I'll only put the front and another anonymous page on here as I don't think she'd like her photos plastered on blogland. I'd have to ask

permission first. As you can see I have used my new Stitchel stampset from Artistic Stamper and Ollie and Friends from Sassafrass Lass. The other picture shows some Core Card that has been put through a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then sanded. The flower stamp below is a freebie from the Craft Stamper magazine , it has been sprayed with Glimmermist and some perfect pearls added.

hoera mijn album voor een commissie is af en grotendeels in roze dus dat is een hele prestatie voor mij.

Het is bestemd voor een 60 jarige vandaar de titel van 0-60. Ik zal de blz. met foto's niet laten zien want ik denk niet dat ze die over blogland verspreidt wil zien. ( zal ik eerst toestemming voor moeten vragen)

Zoals je kunt zien heb ik mijn Stitchel set weer gebruikt van de Artistic Stamper en Ollie and Friends van Sassafrass Lass.

Black Magic

A challenge by Joanne at Craftsbycarolyn was to make a card using black cardstock .As I bought a whole block of Black Magic core card whilst in Holland this was an easy challenge for me .It combines so well with the Cuttlebug embossing folders and the Nestabilities.

The flowerstamp is from a Stitchel set designed by Hels from the Artistic Stamper and I love them.

Een uitdaging op Craftsbycarolyn luidde maak een zwarte kaart . Daar ik bij mijn laatste bezoek aan Holland net een block Black Magic Color Core had ingeslagen leverde dit geen probleem op.. Het is zo mooi te combineren met de Cuttlebug embossing folders en de Nestabilities.

De bloemenstempel is van een set Stitchels ontworpen door Hels van de Artistic Stamper . Ik ben weg van alle sets maar heb helaas een shopping ban .

no pretty papers

for a challenge on Craftsbycarolyn . The brief was to use stamps and no pretty paper was allowed.

I've been combining several techniques. The stamped background is from a 6x6 scrapblock by CHF the vintage ledger. The swirly background is colorcore that was put through my Big Shot in an embossingfolder and then sanded.

The background behind the lady is several layers of gesso, then several colors of Glimmer mist , the edges are distressed and embossed. The lady is a stamp from

Paperartsy and the diecuts are from Wizard.

Voor een challenge bij Craftsbycarolyn waarbij je geen bedrukt papier mocht gebruiken en moest stempelen.

De achtergrond is de vintage ledger van Cornishheritagefarms; daarop een laagje colorcore wat door een embossingfolder is gegaan en toen geschuurd.

daarop cardstockmet 2 laagjes gesso en diverse kleurtjes Glimmermist, de randjes zijn gedistressed en embossed.

De stempel is van Paperartsy . De stansjes = wizard

Just a quick one

The new challenge on DCM is

I want you to make a QUICK CARD! a card that takes you no more than hmm say 30 minutes max to do - start to finish.

And there you go thinking thats easy. I just made it within the 30 minutes as I had something else in mind. Sorry guys still a winter one as this embossingfolder arrived today and had to be tried out

The colors look weird because of the scan .

De challenge op DCM was maak een snelle kaart- binnen de 30 minuten. Ik dacht dat is makkelijk maar redde het maar net want ik was iets anders van plan wat niet pastte. Sorry maar weer een winterding want mijn nieuwe embossingfolder kwam vandaag binnen en moest gelijk gebruikt worden. De kleuren zijn wat vreemd door het scannen.

Paper Pesto challenge- DCM

This weeks dare from the DCM is an extra special one! Paper Pesto are entirely sponsoring this weeks dare AND providing a spot prize for one of our lucky darer's too! Paper Pesto distribute specialist paper and craft scrapbooking kits assembled in New Zealand.
We've chosen to work with a template for this dare, and the design team have used papers supplied by Paper Pesto in their January kit. The lucky winner of our Lucky Dip will receive a sample selection of the wonderful January kit as their prize.

I turned the template round a bit. The background is stamped with Gesso, then coloured with glimmermist. There are small raised swirls on it but these are hard to see on the scan .The " ribbon" and the mat behind the stamp are done by heating a block of Penscore then pressing a Cuttlebug embossing folder in it and then stamped with Distress ink.The stamps are from Art Journey

De dare by DCM is maak een kaart volgens een sketch en deze dare wordt gesponsord door een Nieuw Zeelands bedrijf Paper Pesto. De achtergrond is gestempeld met Gesso, dan gesprayed met 2 kleuren Glimmermist. De gestempelde swirls zijn iets verhoogd maar dit is moeilijk te zien op de scan. Het " lint" en de mat achter het jongetje zijn gedaan met een stempel die gemaakt is door Penscore te verhitten en daar een Cuttlebug embossing folder in te drukken dan met Distressinkt gestempeld. De stempels zijn van Art Journey

Daring Cardmakers Challenge

The first challenge for 2008 from the DCM is celebrate something NEW. As my brother is moving house next week this seems a good occasion; also to use a little stamp that arrived this afternoon. I have used the paper from The English Papercompany ;and embossed the whole card with a Cuttlebug folder. Then the swirls were sanded ( with an emeryboard)

De eerste uitdaging van de Daring Cardmakers voor 2008 is iets nieuws, dit kan zijn jaar, baby, huis, baan etc. Daar mijn broer en aanhang volgende week gaan verhuizen is dit een goede gelegenheid, ook om een stempeltje te gebruiken dat vanmiddag arriveerde.Het papier is van de English papercompany, de kaart is geembossed met een Cuttlebugfolder en daarna geschuurd.( met een nagelvijltje)
